Hi! I’m Breyen

It all started when…

Hey, I’m Breyen. Most days you can find me taking care of my 4.5 and 6 year-old daughters, or teaching my French Immersion Grade 1 class… there are A LOT of children in my life! This year, I teach part-time, and on my “off days” I create resources to help primary teachers teach about diversity and inclusion!

I am mostly known for being creative, quirky and, I like to think, for my blinding sexiness. (Don’t believe me? Check me out on Instagram).

I’ve become so so so passionate about teaching little ones about diversity. I know it can be daunting to even think about bringing up the topic of race or skin colour to young children… but I truly believe it’s important and necessary.

I wasn’t able to find resources in English or French to help support me in having these conversations about diversity with my students, so I decided to create my own and post them on TPT. I am so thankful and humbled that so many other teachers are finding these resources useful in their classrooms!

We teachers have So. Much. Going. On! We juggle work, parenting, staying well, drinking enough water, remembering that load of laundry in the washer... There’s a lot going on for us! Am I right?
